Instructors’ Profiles
Carol Berger Taylor - Carol received her B.A. in English and Crafts from State University of New York at Buffalo. She also studied for three years at Arizona State University in both the metals and fibers departments.She has taken various workshops around the country with master artists in their particular field of expertise. Carol has extensive experience instructing adults and children.She has been included in "Whos Who in Americas Teachers" 2005 and 2006. In addition to her teaching skills, Carol has distinguished herself in the world of art jewelry. She has exhibited her work on a national juried level and has won several awards for her twisted and twined metal sculptures.
Jeanette Landenwich - Jeanette began working with Precious Metal Clay in 1999 and immediately became intrigued. Since then she has worked extensively with the medium and it has become her main focus. She is a one person studio, and makes her pieces by hand. Jeanette is a Senior PMC Instructor and teaches classes and workshops. "Working with PMC is a wonderful, creative outlet for me. It challenges me to stretch my ideas, which causes me to constantly incorporate new methods and techniques. I get my inspiration from everywhere, but my favorite is nature".
Donna Lewis – Donna earned her BFA in Art and Telecommunications from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. Her early concentrations were in textile design and video production. The love of the "hippie jewelry" she made as a teen kept drawing her back. She was set on a new path the day she met PMC... "It was all over for me. I was hooked." She has been involved with Metals Edge Studio since Spring 2004. Donna loves to encourage experimentation. "PMC is still new, we have unique artistic opportunities."
Terri Valencia - Terri started her career as a jewelry artist by taking a class at a local bead shop thirteen years ago. That class sparked an interest that has expanded from beadwork to metals, as well as glass. She has been teaching classes locally and nationally for ten years. Terri is currently working on a BFA in Jewelry/Metals as she becomes established in the art jewelry world. Her most recent exhibitions were "Wearable Expressions," an international juried exhibition in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA , "At an Intimate Scale," a national juried exhibition in Phoenix, AZ and "La Petite XIII", a national juried exhibition in Coburg, OR.
